There’s so much to see and do in Birmingham! Newman is located in Bartley Green in South Birmingham, just a bus ride away from the city centre. From there, you can travel onto lots of different attractions and places to explore. Art
Barber Institute of Fine Arts – Come and see works by many great artists like Monet and Van Gogh.
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery – Here there are over 40 galleries to explore that display art, applied art, social history, archeology and ethnography.
IKON Gallery – The IKON is an internationally acclaimed contemporary art venue in the city centre near Brindley Place.
Entertainment
Birmingham Hippodrome – Lots of well known shows will be visiting the Hippodrome theatre in 2020 including MAMMA MIA! Les Miserables and the Phantom of the Opera.
Symphony Hall – They have lots of musical events, including film showings accompanied by live orchestras.
Heritage
Back to backs – here you can step back in time to experience what life was like between the 1840s-1970s.
Heritage Week happens once a year and gives people the opportunity to explore lots of different places around the city that may not usually be open to the public. Lots of events as part of heritage week are free.
Nature
Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses –a 15-acre botanical garden in Edgbaston, with glass houses showing tropical rainforest to arid desert.
Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park – home to a unique collection of animals from across the world, including Red Pandas, lemurs, reptiles, meerkats, otters, birds, wallabies and a large collection of monkeys.
Shopping
Resorts World – offers a range of outlet shopping, with a spa, cinema and casino (plus lots more) on site.
Bullring & Grand Central – Last but not least, the bullring complex offers a wide array of shops and places to eat.
